The Bank of Main Street Sitting to the right of the Main Street Opera House sits the Bank of Main Street. This small beautiful building sits at the southeastern corner of Town Square right near the eastern entrance tunnel.
For many years after Disneylands opening, this was the location of the Disneyland branch of Bank of America. Bank of America operated out of this location dispensing cash to the hordes of tourists and selling souvenir money orders with Disney characters on them. This bank had the honorable title of being the only bank in America opened seven days a week for many years.
Bank of America moved out of the location in 1993 and the building currently serves as the processing center for Disneyland annual passholders. Here new annual passholders get their picture taken and plastic APs made up.
On the second floor of the Bank of Main Street is the Disneyland Sound Control Room. This is where general annoucements over the PA system are controled.
On one of the upper windows of the Bank of Main Street is dedicated to the historical run of the Main Street Electrical Parade.
