Center Street Center Street, is the one road that intersects Main Street in the middle of town. Most guests know this area as simply where Lost and Found and the locker area are located.
Although nothing much is there now, there were some major plans for these areas, which included China Town, which would be a whole new section of Main Street, U.S.A. Plans included fully redoing the whole Center Street in Chinese décor, restaurants, shops, and street entertainment.
The main attraction of this area would be a restaurant-show. Guests could enjoy the show while they sample the authentic Chinese cuisine. The show would involve an array of Audio-Animatronic characters, including Confucius, a dragon, and some of Confucius advisors. It would be like a storytelling, written by Wally Boag, longtime Frontierland comic. The show would start with a big Audio-Animatronic dragon coming to life, and introducing Confucius. Along with Confucius, Grandfather Chung would host the show. Along the wall would be windows, with projections of ancient China, making it seem like you were really there. During the show, Grandfather Chung would take questions from the audience. It wasnt really the audience, but recordings, that he always had a snappy or funny answer to.
When they were to start planning this, it was put on hold for a year, but then it was never brought back into plans. It was said that they put it on hold so they could work on Liberty Street, a small area much like Liberty Square at Walt Disney World. Soon, both plans were thrown into the dumpster, only to be remembered.
