New Orleans Square Restaurants
Be sure to visit my original website, dedicated entirely to New Orleans Square Restaurants. It goes into much more detail.

Restaurants:
Blue Bayou. Probably the most famous of all Disneyland restaurants, the Bayou boasts the best atmosphere and accordingly some of the highest prices. It is a full-service restaurant, and the only one in the Park that accepts reservations. You must make same-day reservations (they don't accept them for the following day), so it's not a bad idea to head there first to make your reservation (there is no outside phone number to call to do this). If you fail to make a reservation, you can still eat there as they hold some tables, but there is always a line. The food is excellent - mostly creole chicken dishes - and the service is top-notch. Don't miss the Bayou!
Location
Many people have a hard time finding the Blue Bayou. You just have to know where to look, I guess. Its entrance is located directly next to the exit for Pirates of the Caribbean (just opposite the Pirates Merchandise shop, Pieces of Eight).

French Market. If you're looking for outdoor entertainment, the Market may be the place to go. It's got a stage for the Side Street Strutters, who play there on busy afternoons. It's a buffeteria (tray slide) that offers some fast service, particularly if both sides are open. Sponsored by Souffer's.

The Market is located next to the Frontierland/New Orleans Train Station, and across the way from the Haunted Mansion.

Cafe Orleans. Opened in 1966 as the Creole Cafe, this restaurant changed its name in 1971 to Sara Lee's Cafe Orleans. Later, when the sponsor bowed out, it became simply Cafe Orleans. It is a buffeteria/tray slide that serves sandwiches and some great spicy creole dishes.

The Cafe is the "other" outdoor restaurant, situated near the base of the Pirates bridge/Disney Gallery. Its entrance is on Royal Street, opposite Pieces of Eight.

Club 33. Yes, this "secret" location really does exist. And, yes, they do serve alcohol. It's a members-only full-service restaurant, exquisitely upholstered and serviced by a wonderful and well-trained staff. Needless to say, it's very expensive. And there is no way to eat there unless you become a member (there's a waiting list) or know a member who can make your reservations.
Location
Anyone notice the non-descript door next to the Blue Bayou, labeled only "33"? That's the way in - you ring the bell, give your name, and they release the door lock electronically. Then you ascend via glass elevator to the second floor - the main dining room is located directly above Cafe Orleans.
Menu Items
Coming Soon - $0.00
Fantasmic Dessert Balcony. Yes, I know, it's not really a restaurant. But it does have "table" service (or "chair" service?) so it doesn't really qualify as counter-service. This is the fabulous dessert service in the Disney Gallery Balcony while you watch Fantasmic. It's not free - it costs a hefty $35 per person. But the view is literally unbeatable, the service is great, and the desserts/drinks are free and unlimited with purchase.
You will need reservations, and this sells out very quickly. You can only make same-day reservations, and they can only be made in person at the Guest Relations Window, just east of the Main Gate on the outside of Disneyland. Come VERY EARLY - I mean hours before scheduled Park opening, as it sells out virtually every day.
Location
The Balcony of the Disney Gallery is located above the Royal Street Veranda, roughly above the Pirates of the Caribbean entrance. You access the Balcony by announcing your reservation to the Gallery Cast Members.
Menu Items
Assorted Pastries and Cakes - Free! - The exact menu of cakes, pies, cheesecakes, and pastries changes so frequently that it would be pointless to list them. They change roughly every month, and there are usually six or seven different, fruity ones to choose from.
Mint Julep - Free!
Lemonade - Free!
Coffee - Free!
Hot Tea - Free! - three different types!
Counter-Service:
Harbour Galley. As part of the 1989 expansion of Bear Country into Critter Country, Fowler's Harbor got a new food location. Themed as a dockfront eatery, the Galley features some great seafood items.
Location
Located next to the Haunted Mansion, the Galley may be closed if it's not a busy day at Disneyland. It is situated at the "harbor" where the big ships of the Rivers of America are docked when not in use.

Royal Street Veranda. A quick way to get your hands on fritters or clam chowder, the Veranda never seems to have much of a line. Of all the food locations in New Orleans Square, it will be the very last to close, as it's so visible.
Location
Located just under the Disney Gallery stairs and near the Pirates of the Caribbean entrance, the Veranda can be seen from most of the New Orleans Plaza, particularly if heading back from Critter Country.

Mint Julep Bar. The only quick way to get a mint julep is to find the Mint Julep Bar, which unfortunately isn't all that easy to do. They also offer cappuccinos and biscotti.
Location
The MJB is located alongside the French Market, facing the train station. If you stand at the New Orleans bathrooms, you're just opposite the MJB (although the wall curves around a bit).

La Petite Patisserie. The great hidden treat of New Orleans, the rarely-open "Pastry Window" features fantastic Waffles-on-a-Stick and even Mardi Gras-type Slushies!
Location
Attached to the Cafe Orleans but facing the French Market, this location is really hard to spot. It looks more like wall decoration than a food window, but it's there all right.
