Reservations at Disneyland Restaurants

At most Disneyland Resort Restaurants, you can't get reservations at all. The fast-food restaurants and buffeterias certainly don't lend themselves well to reservations, after all.

That leaves the table-service restaurants. Carnation Cafe on Main Street does not take reservations - it's a first-come, first-served system, and for that reason the line moves slowly.

The other restaurants that do take reservations are listed for you below, and information about how to make the reservations is included. For each restaurant, you are not *required* to make reservations; they keep some space clear for walk-in guests. But because some people do reserve, the lines may move slowly if you don't have a reservation.

Blue Bayou

You can only make same-day reservations for the Bayou; the place to make them is the reservations podium outside the Bayou entrance (right next to the Pirates exit). The podium opens when the Park does - long before the restaurant itself opens its doors. They do have a phone number for the podium, but it is useless for reservations as you must be present in person to make them.

Fantasmic Dessert Balcony

The best way to see Fantasmic, the Dessert Balcony costs $35 per person. You can make reservations for up to four people. The reservations must be made in person, for same-day shows only, outside the Main Gate. Go to the Guest Relations window, which is just east of the Main Gate entrance turnstyles, and try to be as early as you can. This sells out very quickly! I would get there two or more hours before scheduled Park opening to make certain that you get tickets.

Disneyland Hotel Restaurants

To make same-day reservations at any of the Disneyland Hotel restaurants, you can go there in person or you can call the reservations hotline at (714) 956-6755. If you are staying at a Disney Hotel, you can simply dial extension x6755.

It is possible to make reservations in advance if you have a very large party and would like to rent the entire restaurant for this purpose; just call the number above. It is unlikely that you would need reservations in advance for a smaller party; these restaurants seldom fill to capacity.

Disneyland Pacific Hotel Restaurants

Reservations at the Disneyland Pacific Hotel work just like the Disneyland Hotel: you can do it in person or call (714) 956-6755 to make reservations.

There is one facility here you really do need reservations for: the Mary Poppin's Practically Perfect Tea. I would call a week or more in advance of your planned date to get reservations. Be sure to dress appropriately; many people "dress up" a bit for this event.
