Well this is my first
attempt at a news and rumors page so bear with me. But
please remember that information is real sketchy right
now and as with all rumors they are always subject to
change at the whims of those in charge. |

News
as of August 15
- The only real piece
of news confirmed about the Sub Lagoon is that
it's closing after labor day.

- The other semi
official piece of information is that any new
attraction placed in the Sub Lagoon won't be
built until the year 2003. But that's still five
years away, and a long time for someone to change
their mind.
I wouldn't expect any more
news to come along until after Labor Day.

Rumors as of August 15
- I have heard that in
fact the lagoon will not be drained anytime soon
and that the Submarines will in fact stay there
at Disneyland until sometime around 2002 when
construction begins. This would also allow them
plenty of time to bring the Coin-Op boats over
from the Disneyland Hotel where the Marina will
be filled in next year.
- Another rumor that I
have heard from two different people is that
there was an accident involoving one of the
switch tracks early this week. The subs were
closed for a short period of time but did reopen.
