Although the child's PB&J meal ($4) was the standard Uncrustables, it went over well with the four year old, possibly because there were Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse cartoons to watch at one far end of the dining area.
We tried the hot italian sandwich ($7), which did not appreciably differ from other Italian sandwiches at Disney hotels. If anything, it was a touch dry, and not quite hot. The price, though, was fair. And speaking of price, our other item competes for best value on WDW property: the dinner-only turkey meal ($9) would cost twelve dollars in a theme park. Since we use the Disney Dining Experience, we got a 20% discount off the meal, making this one entree something more like $7.00 - a fantastic steal at that price. It featured turkey carved before our eyes, moist and juicy and delicous and lean.
The meal price quoted above is a bit skewed, since we didn't get drinks for a change, but even with drinks the price per adult would have been a fantastic bargain. The Dining Experience discount makes all the difference in the world. The All Star food courts are some of the only places to use the DDE for fast food (non-table service), and it makes the prices horribly affordable.
Service is perfectly acceptable, neither fast nor slow. We were surprised to find few lines for dinner; it was even more empty than a lunchtime visit to the All Stars. Presumably, these places are busy for breakfast, but lunch and dinner finds everyone at the theme parks. There was seating aplenty, and the atmosphere was very pleasant and unrushed.
