The pad thai ($15) is a touch expensive for a peanut-and-sprout pasta dish you can commonly find for much less in the outside world. Its flavor was delicate and not overpowering, nor was it overly spicy. That can be a disappointment, though, for pad thai is often served very spicy. The open-faced turkey sandwich ($11), served with mashed potatoes, really hits the spot and satisfies in the way comfort food should do, and for a very reasonable price point. This entrée is highly recommended.
The child's pizza ($6) is expensive for a kid's meal, and doesn't even include the drink ($1). All told, the child meal is almost twice as expensive as a similar meal at Disney World, so come expecting high prices. Alas, the quality isn't very high: this is your basic high-school-cafeteria pizza.
One hit that's sure to delight is the sangria pitcher ($15), which comes with enough liquid to get two (maybe even three) people reasonably inebriated. At this price, that's a downright bargain, which may say something about Universal's grand plan (something like: we want you to like the rides, so we encourage you to drink by keeping alcohol prices fairly low).
Service was occasionally slow, but the dining area was quiet and very highly themed in an exotic, wizard-and-swords kind of way. There are other diners around, but not enough to make for a line, especially early in the dinner hours.
