We found the turkey and cheese sandwich ($7), served on a nut-filled multigrain bread and grilled up nicely, to taste both healthy and delicious. The strongest flavor was the Swiss cheese, but it was fresh, and the interesting bread was the second most noticeable tang. There was a bit of red bell pepper in the sandwich to provide extra kick, too, making it just about perfect, and well worth its price. Sadly, the chicken salad ($7) was a poor excuse for a meal. Wilted, old, and lacking in any imagination, the lettuce simply exuded a sense that they came out of a prepackaged bag (which is almost certainly the case). Worse yet, the chicken was provided in thick chunks and had absolutely no taste. The very definition of "bland," this chicken not only didn't help the meal, it made it worse.
The child nuggets ($4) were different from the usual Disney nuggets. They looked overdone, but were crispy, thin, and light. They simply tasted better than is the case elsewhere, perhaps because of a new cooking oil. The fries were equally tasty. The strawberry parfait ($4) was an expensive indulgence. It was also quite small, considering the price. But with layers of cheese crumbs, custard, and strawberry pulp, with some blueberries thrown in for good measure, it was highly tasty. As advertised, it had no sugar added… but it didn't need any.
Service was quite fast. Most hours of the day see short lines here, and what lines there are move quickly. Indoor seating is plentiful, and while the concept of a prop warehouse may not be the more imaginative, it does yield lots of things to look at. This is one of the better places to escape in oppressive heat or rain, since there are so many tables and chairs.
