The simple soft serve cup ($3) is dismayingly small, though the vanilla had either real vanilla flavor or a good artificial approximation. It seems like those folks carrying away the sugar cone option had more ice cream. The sundae ($4) was a better option all around, with almost twice the ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, or swirl) and a choice of toppings like caramel, hot fudge, or strawberry. The strawberry was artificial but tasty, and did include quite a few real strawberries as well.
Our clear winner, though, was the orange pineapple smoothie, a delight of real fruit flavors served up whipped, frothy, and light. The lip-smacking taste was probably achieved with the help of added sugar, but with results like these, no one watches his weight.
Our service was quite fast. However, there are only two cashiers, and we saw that the other cashier moved at a pace resembling molasses, and it was pure luck we didn't get her. The workers behind the counter were hustling, though, and certainly earned our respect.
Inside there are no tables, so technically, there is no environment to grade. Just outdoors are tables, though they are full and when not full, someone is holding a table for a family in line. We moved away slightly but ended up near the smoking section, so eau de cigarette drifted into our area the whole time, putting a damper on the great flavors.
